Diesel vs. Unleaded Spouts

Unleaded (gasoline) nozzles use a smaller 13/16-inch spout to fit passenger-vehicle fill necks. Diesel and high-flow nozzles use a larger 1-inch spout for faster fueling of trucks and equipment. The wrong spout slows fueling or will not seat properly.

Match the Flow Rate

• Farm and consumer nozzles: roughly 15 to 20 gpm, ideal for tanks and light equipment.
• High-flow diesel nozzles: up to about 35-plus gpm for fleet and heavy equipment.
• Your pump and hose ID must support the flow, or the nozzle cannot reach its rating.

Shutoff and Hold-Open Options

Automatic shutoff nozzles stop when the tank is full and are essential for unattended or DEF fueling. Hold-open clips free the operator during long fills, but choose a no-clip nozzle where regulations or safety require an attended fill. No-pressure-no-flow versions add a safety interlock that only dispenses when the spout is properly seated.
