Specialties Company is an authorized Hose Master distributor stocking the full Hose Master line of flexible metal hose, and we fabricate it into finished, tested assemblies at our 30,000 sq ft facility in Freeport, Texas. Send a part number off the tag or the service conditions, and we will quote the assembly complete with end connections rather than selling you bulk hose and leaving the fabrication to you.
Hose Master® is a registered trademark of Hose Master, LLC.
Why Buying From an Authorized Distributor Matters
Metal hose reaches the market through a lot of channels, and not all of it is what the tag says. Buying through an authorized distributor means the product is genuine, the alloy certification traces back to the mill, and warranty coverage stays intact. On an assembly carrying acid at 400°F over a walkway, that chain of custody is worth more than a few points of margin.
The Full Hose Master Range
Hose Master hose spans the two principal families of flexible metal hose, and we stock across both. Which one you need depends on whether the application requires pressure containment or motion accommodation.
- Corrugated metal hose — annular corrugated core with wire braid, pressure-tight. The standard for chemical transfer, steam, cryogenic media, pump connectors and thermal expansion. Includes the Annuflex corrugated family and the chemical- and high-pressure-service lines.
- Stripwound metal hose — interlocked strip construction, not pressure-tight, built for abrasion, high temperature and tight bending. Used for exhaust, ducting, cable and hose protection, and vacuum conveying.
- Braid options — unbraided, single-braid and double-braid, selected against working pressure and required movement.
- Alloys — 300-series stainless through Monel, Hastelloy and Inconel for aggressive and high-temperature service.
Because we stock the range rather than a handful of fast movers, we can usually quote the correct product instead of substituting the closest thing on the shelf. If you know the exact line you are replacing, put it in the quote form. If you only have a tag photo, send that — we cross-reference part numbers routinely.
We Fabricate, Not Just Stock
Bulk hose is only half a solution. Every assembly is cut to length, welded to your end connections, hydrostatically tested and tagged before it leaves the building. Test documentation is available on request, and the tag means your maintenance group can trace the assembly years later instead of guessing.
End connections include ANSI 150# and 300# flanges, NPT male and female, tube stubs for field welding, sanitary Tri-Clamp, camlock and union. End fittings are matched to the core alloy so you do not create a galvanic couple at the weld.
Where Hose Master Hose Gets Used
Across the Gulf Coast we supply it into chemical and acid transfer, steam and hot oil, cryogenic and LNG service, pump and compressor connectors absorbing vibration, thermal expansion loops, tank car and truck loading, exhaust and flue connections, and jacketed process lines.
Sizing It Correctly
Metal hose fails from over-bending and torsion far more often than from pressure. The most common specification error is ordering to port size and nominal length without accounting for the movement the assembly actually has to absorb. Send us the travel, direction, cycle frequency and whether flexing is constant or intermittent, and we will size the live length so the assembly reaches its rated service life.
What to Include in Your Quote Request
- Hose Master part number if you have it, or a photo of the existing tag
- Hose ID and overall length (OAL)
- Braid requirement, or the working pressure so we can select it
- End fittings and orientation on both ends
- Media, operating temperature and the movement the assembly must absorb
