Why Buying From an Authorized Distributor Matters

Lined products live or die on liner integrity, and liner integrity is not something you can inspect from outside the pipe. Buying through an authorized distributor means genuine product with documentation that traces back to the manufacturer, correct liner selection for the service, and warranty coverage that survives a failure investigation. In concentrated acid service that documentation is part of your process safety file, not just a purchasing formality.

What Resistoflex Products Cover

The Resistoflex line is built around fluoropolymer lining technology — a chemically inert liner inside a steel pressure shell. You get the corrosion resistance of PTFE with the mechanical strength and pressure rating of steel pipe, which is why it dominates in concentrated acid and solvent service where solid plastic will not hold pressure and metal will not survive the media.

  • Resistoflex lined pipe and fittings — PTFE, PFA, PVDF and polypropylene lined spools, elbows, tees and reducers
  • Resistoflex hose — PTFE-lined flexible hose assemblies for transfer and connection service
  • Resistoflex fittings and flanged components to complete a lined system

Liner selection drives everything. PTFE is the broadest-spectrum choice, PFA where the process demands a melt-processed liner, PVDF for specific abrasion and permeation profiles. Tell us the media, concentration and temperature and we will confirm liner selection rather than defaulting to PTFE.

Why Lined Products Instead of Alloy

For many aggressive services the honest comparison is lined steel versus an exotic alloy like Hastelloy or Monel. Lined products are typically the lower-cost route when the media attacks nearly everything metallic, and they eliminate the metallurgical guesswork that comes with mixed-acid or variable-concentration streams.

The tradeoffs are real, though. Lined systems have temperature ceilings well below metal hose, permeation is a consideration over long service life, and lined pipe is far less tolerant of mechanical abuse in the field. If your service is high-temperature or the run has to flex, our Monel and alloy metal hose page is the better starting point.

Typical Applications

Concentrated sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitric and hydrofluoric acid, chlorinated solvents, caustics, bromine and aggressive halogens, chlor-alkali process lines, wastewater treatment chemical feed, and pharmaceutical and specialty chemical processing.

Cross-Referencing a Part Number

Most requests reach us as a part number off an existing tag or a line item on an old purchase order. That is enough to work from. If the number is illegible or the tag is gone, send a photo of the component with the size and end connections visible, plus the media it handles, and we will identify it.

What to Include in Your Quote Request

  • Resistoflex part number if you have it, or a photo of the existing tag
  • Size and overall length or face-to-face dimension
  • End connections on both ends
  • Media, concentration, operating temperature and working pressure
  • Any documentation, testing or liner certification requirements
